HAPPY NEW YEAR
Today it is the beginning of the New Year in Thailand. New Year eve starts on every year on April 13th and lasts till April 15th. This festival is also called "Water festival" because people believe that water will wash away all sins and bad luck and bring good luck and prosperity in their life. This is the time to pay respects to the parents, elderly and monks.Traditionally Buddha images are cleansed using water during this time. People offer alms to monks. In some parts there will be a procession carrying Buddha images.
People carry water guns and pump water onto everyone during this time.
This is great fun and lot of tourists enjoy pouring water each other.
Its really coooool....especially this time of the year is so hot with temperature soaring.

Its cool fun to be in Thailand during this time of the year getting soaked up in water wherever you go. Water cannons,jets,water.. water everywhere....coool.... and there is enough water to drink.
